Andrew Sokol has always been a visual artist; starting with his degree in Television and Film,
then as the Creative Director of the advertising agency he founded; and later, as a professional
photographer. Now he applies his skills and talents in the visual medium of digital art.
Andrew is particularly drawn to the art of dance because he has a music background.
Being a jazz drummer, Andrew has a lifetime love of music and an innate understanding of
rhythm. What's more, being a devotee of physical fitness, he appreciates dancers as being
both athletes and artists. All of this background goes into the paintings he creates.
Interestingly, the medium of digital painting didn't even exist a decade ago. It was while
Andrew was living and traveling overseas that digital-art technology really matured.
Intrigued by this new medium, Mr. Sokol began to explore it and found himself hooked.
Now, five years later, Andrew Sokol has mastered this new 'artistic technology'
and is happy to be creating something exciting and new: custom paintings for dancers.
